Shady Side Academy Senior School in Fox Chapel celebrated the newest edition to their campus on May 18, 2018. The construction started one year ago of the new Mcllroy Center for Science and Innovation and was designed by Frederick Fisher & Partners of Los Angeles. The large sculpture in the center of the courtyard was designed and created by Blawnox artist Jim West.

Einstein is coming to Bethlehem.

The famed physicist arrives next weekend as a 37-foot tall, 2,000-pound bronze sculpture, a guest of the SouthSide Arts & Music Festival. His gigantic size, reflecting both his intellect and his influence, will be a sight to behold as he simultaneously emerges from the floor and disappears into the ceiling, seemingly ascending a rope attached to his shoe. BETHLEHEM, PA— The Theory of Relativity, E = mc2, is perhaps the most famous equation in the world, and while most can attribute it to Albert Einstein, few understand its significance.

Aiming to educate through art, Pittsburgh-based sculptor James West wants to challenge the public to step outside its comfort zone and explore science and physics with his large cast bronze sculpture of Einstein. Weighing in at more than 2,000 pounds, Split Infinity will be on display at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, from April 19-June 23 in the Capital BlueCross Creativity Commons.
